That night, seven cowboys raided their camp and brutally murdered three of the sheepmen. The trial of the Spring Creek Raid had a far-reaching effect on Wyoming. Big Horn County almost went broke, the militia was called out, and the lives of many were changed. The convictions that followed put an edn to the killings of this type. ~ 8vo~ 291 pages
